How to Use
  • 1Shake before use. In the evening, apply 4-5 drops into the palm of your hand, then use fingertips to gently massage onto the face in a circular motion.
  • 2For Retinol beginners, gradually phase Retinol into your skincare routine. Start with 2-3 uses a week for the first 3 weeks, working up to nightly use as tolerated.
  • 3You may experience redness, a warm, tingling sensation or flaking. These are normal, temporary indications that the formula is working. If effects cause discomfort, limit use to once every other day until your skin adjusts. If the effects persist, discontinue use. Avoid direct contact with eyes. Apply sunscreen daily, as Retinol can increase sun sensitivity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect retinol for fine lines I loved this retinol and have really noticed a difference in my skin since having used this 5-6 per week for a few weeks. It was really easy to apply and sunk into the skin quickly. I wouldn't recommend this product for people who have never used retinol before as it may be too much for their skin, particularly as it is an Intense serum. But as I am somebody who has introduced retinol for some time now I only experienced positive effects. I made sure to pair this with an SPF in the morning and they soon became a power duo for combatting fine lines and wrinkles, as well as fading some dark spots I have on my chin from previous breakouts.

It is great retinol serum, been using religiously for a month now, and slowly starting to see some results (skin looks less dull, plump, healthy glow finaly came back!). Unscented - which I really love. As well as pump pipette makes it easier to get the product out of the bottle. Doesn’t irritate the skin (although this is not the first time I am using retinol). However, the main reason it’s not 5 stars is product consistency… it’s like water, very liquidy, as well as quite oily, so it wouldn’t absorb to skin quick enough. Leaving for nearly 20-30mins until I can apply a moisturiser. Wouldn’t mix up with other serums (like HA), causing pilling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy with it! I have used this a couple of times, and already noticed an improvement in my skin tone and texture. Can be drying until your skin gets used to it, so have a good moisturiser ready, but doesn’t last long. My skin looks smooth, healthy and feels plumper. I have oily/combo skin, pleased with the results in a short space of time. Will continue to use, and will buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely night serum At the end of a long day, I find this night serum to be quite the comfort. It spreads smoothly and absorbs quickly, leaving no residue. I've noticed the texture of my skin improving since I started using it. It leaves my skin plump and hydrated, showing signs of rejuvenation by morning. It's gentle on my skin, causing no irritations or breakouts. It's become an integral part of my night time routine, and I wake up to a refreshed complexion every morning. It’s not just another face serum; it's a small step in caring for the skin you're in. Without a doubt is recommend this day cream, it seems to work well and the price is good in comparison to other brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great serum This is a great serum, it is pure retinol, some serums do not have much retinol in them so are not good value. I do use retinol however I still did not use this serum every day at first, it is always best to build up a tolerance. I also never use AHAs at the same time as retinol (you can use acids like hyaluronic acid and niacinamide though). This serum has a nice texture, not sticky like some, and it goes on to the skin well. It leaves skin feeling soft, smooth and firmer. Once dry, I followed up with an anti-redness moisturiser as retinol can cause redness and irritation. I think this serum is a good price and I would purchase it and recommend to friends and family.

The test card and web site says 'our highest concentration of pure retinol' , however I can not find anywhere what the percentage is, so I'm assuming it's low. I have also messaged neutrogena. This is more of an oil than a serum. The benefit is if like me you use an oil you could skip that step. However, I have oily skin and found this just sat on my skin for a long time. It also caused breakouts. They use soja oil. On the plus side I did like that it was fragrance free and it did leave my skin very soft. I think this would be better suited to someone with a dryer skin, who is new to retinol. I did not notice any difference to fine lines or pigmentation .

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Neutrogena Retinol Boost+ Night Serum Retinol is a derivative of vitamin A. It is a popular skincare ingredient known for its powerful anti-aging properties. I introduced the Neutrogena Retinol by using the serum 2x the first week then 3x a week onwards during nights rather than daily. This is due to the recommendation of adding retinol gradually into the skincare routine. The serum was a runny liquid, I put around 4 drops on my fingers then tapped it into my skin which seemed to easily absorb into. It’s gentle and effective. I noticed some improvements in the texture of my skin but it wasn’t a massive change.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A little squirt goes a long way! Loving the results from this Neutrogena Retinol Boost Serum! My skin feels rejuvenated and the fine lines seem less noticeable, leaving my skin feeling revitalised! My face has a healthier glow, feels softer and my complexion is much more even now. A little goes a long way, you only need to use two pumps across your whole face. This is probably because it's super concentrated, but it spreads nicely and sinks in fast without leaving a sticky or tacky feeling to the skin. Just super smooth and fresh! Its now a staple addition in my skincare routine that's definitely worth it.
