HOW TO USE
  • 1Neutrogena® T/Gel® Therapeutic Shampoo is a fragranced medicated shampoo for the treatment of itchy, flaky scalp disorders such as dandruff, psoriasis, and seborrheic dermatitis.
  • 2Regular use for up to 6 weeks will help to treat these problems.
  • 3The shampoo can be used by adults and children aged 12 years and over.
  • 4Adults and children aged 12 years and over: Apply liberal amounts of shampoo and massage into the scalp to form a rich lather. Leave the lather on the scalp for several minutes. Rinse and repeat the application once more.
  • 5The shampoo should not be used more than two or three times a week.
  • 6If there is no improvement after 6 weeks use, contact your doctor or pharmacist. If irritation develops, stop using the shampoo and contact your doctor if necessary.
  • 7Use this medicine only on your scalp.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No more itches I had a really embarrassing flaky scalp, right at the front of my hairline so it was impossible to hide. After going to the doctors, this shampoo was recommended to me. After using this shampoo for 2 washes, my scalp had stopped itching so much, and after 4 washes, there were more no flakes present. I thought this meant I was cured, but I wasn't. You have to continue to use the shampoo to ensure the flakes and itchiness stay away. I now use this shampoo once a week and don't have to worry about trying to surreptitiously scratch my scalp or about the presence of flakes. The smell isn't particularly pleasant and you need a good-sized blob of shampoo in order to build up a lather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5 stars I bought this after looking online to see what I could get to treat serb dermatitis on my scalp. I've tried other products but nothing was working. After the first use I didnt notice much difference with my scalp and was disappointed (however my actual hair has never felt or looked so clean and fresh). Second go, I left it on for a couple of minutes longer and wow, what a difference. My scalp is not longer itchy, sore or flaking. My hair looks and feels so clean and fresh. Dont let the smell of the shampoo put you off, once your hair is dried and styled its a very faint smell for the first day or so then its gone. I just use my normal conditioner after double shampooing with tgel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really helps clear psoriasis Every time my skin flares up with psoriasis, I turn to Neutrogena T-Gel to calm and get rid of it. I use it as a shampoo and a body wash and highly recommend it. It's the only shampoo that I know will clear my scalp psoriasis within a couple of months use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This really works! Lucky me gets dandruff and itchy scalp. This shampoo is the best product for the problem. Unlike similar products, it does not need to be used every day so my normal shampoo can also be used. It also works quite quickly with results evident on the first application. By using it once a week or so, my scalp is flake and itch free. This shampoo does have its issues. The smell is not the greatest, but it is an improvement on the old formula. Also, you need quite a lot to get a decent lather. However, despite this it is the best product for the problem and works so well that these issues can be overlooked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tgel shampoo for a change? I’ve had psoriasis since I was 7 (I’m now 70) and it has varied in intensity over the years. For the last couple of years the psoriasis on my scalp has been horrendous - I’ve been scratching my scalp like there’s no tomorrow and nothing seemed to help. As well as a prescribed steroid scalp lotion I was using Alphosyll shampoo but I found that shampoo just made my scalp feel really dry and tight. I tried Thelma for a bit of a change and found it worked really well to reduce the itching and my scalp didn’t feel as tight. Luckily I like the smell of coal tar but it’s not overpowering. If you have scalp psoriasis it might be worth trying it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Neutrogena T/Gel I always have a bottle of this medicated shampoo on standby in my bathroom cabinet, as not only do I adore the smell, but it works quickly and effectively to soothe and calm any itchiness or an unwanted dandruff flare up. The shampoo produces a generous lather, coats the hair well and is easy to wash out, leaving the hair squeaky clean and healthy. If your scalp is feeling irritated, then this T/Gel will certainly help.
